Corporate Ghosting + Candidate Experience

Candidate experience is a measurable part of the hiring process. Most organizations don't measure it because the end goal is simply to hire great candidates. Many do not truly invest much thought into the process itself.

A common oversight in modern hiring: multiple interview rounds and not closing the loop. Candidates complete three, four, or more interviews and never receive formal notice that the role was filled.

The cost isn't abstract. Industry benchmark research found that 61% of job seekers report being ghosted after an interview, and 13% of candidates who have a negative experience become significantly less likely to apply again, recommend the company, or buy from it. Many also share that experience publicly. Your hiring process is a brand touchpoint, whether you treat it like one or not.

A respectful process is also a repeatable one that keeps the candidate in mind. Closing the loop with every candidate isn't a courtesy add-on. It should be a standard you build into your hiring strategy.
